QUALIFICATION STATEMENT
At Tippetts/Weaver our interest is in providing excellent and unique design for a specific context and client. Tippetts/Weaver seeks a unique approach to each project, carefully analyzing the site and physical context, and the client's requirements, to arrive at an appropriate and sensitive solution. Tippetts/Weaver has had extensive experience working with groups, boards, and communities; we understand the importance of building consensus and working closely with and listening to clients throughout the design process. One of the two principals is involved with the development and oversight of all projects in the office.
Tippetts/Weaver maintains a high level of interest in the preservation, restoration, and adaptive reuse of historic buildings and sites, as evidenced by work in our portfolio. Tippetts/Weaver has a significant amount of experience applying the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation, through the National Park Service's Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credit Program. In addition to this, Tippetts/Weaver has experience drafting nominations for buildings and sites to the National Register of Historic Places; overseeing projects receiving funds for construction from the Keystone Preservation Grant Program, and providing technical consulting services for both the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County and the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
Tippetts/Weaver is an award winning firm. Our firm has received awards from Preservation Pennsylvania for adaptive reuse; and numerous awards from the Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County for design achievement. Our work has been published in Central Pennsylvania area publications and, on the national level, in Progressive Architecture. |
